I had no idea cable was around back then.
I'm guessing these are early/mid-'70s. I also don't know if they were mail-aways or not, but regardless, cereal premiums were pretty decent back in the day. I'm not sure if cereal boxes have premiums in them anymore.
The above is the back of a Honeycomb cereal box, with a record attached. It was around 1974/75. I'm guessing they don't make cereal box records anymore, but I wonder if they'll do CD's someday. Btw, the above record??? Totally lame.
I wish all siblings could play together as nicely as Donny and Marie seem to be doing. They look so happy with their new dolls.
She used to be sad, used to be shy. Funniest thing, the saddest part is she never knew why... Kickin' herself for nothin' was her favorite sport. She had to get out and start enjoyin' 'cause life's too short. There's a new girl in town, 'cause she's feelin' good. Got a smile, got a song, for the neighborhood. There's a new girl in town on her own two feet, and that girl's here to say with some luck and love life's gonna be so sweeeeeeeeeet.
The Carhop Song: Here we come on the run with a burger on a bun, and a slab of coleslaw on the side. Oh your tastebuds we will tickle with a cold dill pickle, and all of our potatoes will be fried, fried, fried. Our burgers can't be beat 'cause we grind our own meat. Grind grind grind grind grind! (I forget this line) and if you ask for it we'll serve you, an apple pie pie pie pie pie! An apple pie pie pie pie pie!!!!
I am most thankful for:My God
My health
My home
My Country
My freedom
My family
My friends
It's a shame Children's TV had to grow up at all. Life's too short. Btw, does anybody know who the cartoon characters are next to Fred and Wilma? I've no clue.
The episode of "Land Of The Lost" with Medusa in it. I think it was probably one of the best episodes. Apparantly alot of people remembered it also because there were tons of pics of it in the image search I just did. The woman who played Medusa looks familiar, but I just can't seem to figure out who she is.
These were given away at Hallmark Stores throughout the decade, although I'm not sure if they were made beyond that. I'd totally forgotten about these until yesterday.
The above reminded me of when I about 5 yrs. old. My folks got drunk and tried to give my pet canary a bath in the sink. Once it got out of the cage it flew around the room and they couldn't catch it. To this day they deny it. I believe I told this story before, but I wanted to use the pic.
