<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Back around '73, our family was visiting a friend of my grandmother's. I was the only kid there and really had nothing to do. Nana's friend asked if I'd like to go into her granddaughter's room and see if she had any toys I wanted to play with. As I was rifling through her stuff, the granddaughter walked into the room and was rather annoyed I was invading her space. She was kind of a bitch, actually. I saw she had 2 Partridge Family board games, and as I was looking at them the grandmother asked if I wanted one. The granddaughter started to protest, and her grandmother got annoyed and said to her, "<b>What</b> are you <i>whining</i> about, you have <b>TWO</b>." To be honest I felt a little uncomfortable taking her stuff, but then I figured that she really wasn't being very friendly, and I knew I'd probably never see her again, so since it was a mutual dislike between the two of us, I accepted. I was actually given the better of the two. Sucked to be her. Yes, life's not fair, but it's great when it's unfair in your favor...</span></div>

I remember these circa '78, but apparently they came out as early as '75. I had a couple: one had hot-air balloons on the cover, and another was a solid maroon color. They weren't very durable as I recall, and it's almost impossible to find an example in decent shape like the above. The above pics were taken from an eBay listing which is still active. Apparently the original owner had a "thing" for flower stickers, not that there's anything wrong with that....</div>

For some reason, in our neighborhood in the mid-'70s there was a surge in bundt cake popularity. Seems every week all the mothers were making bundt cakes and sharing recipes, and borrowing bundt cake pans. By the time the '80s came around, nobody was making bundt cakes. To this day I hate bundt cake (although to be honest I haven't had any since back in the day).</div>

Introduced in 1978, I had a couple. Even though the ink was erasable, it didn't erase completely, so you could still see what you previously wrote. I don't think documents and forms could be written or signed in erasable ink, and banks wouldn't allow you to write or sign checks with erasable ink either. I'm not sure if they make erasable ink pens these days, but I wouldn't buy one.</div>

I'm not sure of the exact date, but then again this wasn't really a fave of mine. Why my folks kept getting me toys requiring 2 people, with me being an only child at the time, is beyond me. But whatever.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
In the very early '70s my folks had a Dodge Hornet. What I liked most about it was the hornet logo, which was red, white and blue (the logo pictured here is faded, but it is red white and blue). I believe our Hornet was more of a maroon-brown color, but I'm not 100% certain because it was over 40 years ago and the only photograph I have is a black-and-white. I don't think my folks had it for more than a couple of years. I'm pretty sure they're not collectors' items, because I haven't seen any since.</div>

This was a Saturday favorite, although I didn't get a chance to watch it every Saturday because usually by 1:00 pm my folks would decide I'd watched enough TV and would make me go outside and play. It was all basically b-list movies at their cheesiest. I loved the old Vampire movies the best. <span style="color: #ff9900;"><i>The Man With The X-Ray Eyes</i></span> and <i><span style="color: #ff9900;">The Brain That Wouldn't Die</span></i> were also faves. Eventually I stopped watching it altogether when all they showed were Godzilla flicks. The above ad was dated May 5, 1976 in the image description.</div>
