Misc. Remembrance:

In the late '70s (ca. '77) my cousin Joanne fell on some ice and broke her leg. Her relatives showered her with toys and get-well cards and money. They really went all-out for her. Less than a year later, my cousin Paula (Joanne's sister) broke her arm, and she remembered how Joanne really raked it in and was looking forward to all the stuff she was going to get, but by then everyone was burned out from giving to Joanne they basically told Paula to "just deal with it". She got nothing. She was really bummed out about it. Sucked to be her..

Paula got ripped off!

I remember back in '77 I had a tonsillectomy, and watching "The Last Dinosaur" on the night of my surgery in the hospital. I got TONS of gifts. The next year I broke my nose playing baseball and got stiffed!
