Using my blog to try and make the world a better place. If I can help someone forget their troubles for a few minutes a day, it's all worth it.

I watch the ripples change their size, but never leave the stream of warm impermanent sand. So the days flow through my eyes but still the days seem the same. And these children that you spit on as they try to change their world are immune to your consultations. They're quite aware of what they're going through.

Penny Lane is in my ears and in my eyes, there beneath the blue suburban skies...

Penny Lane there is a barber showing photographs
Of every head he's had the pleasure to have known
And all the people that come and go
Stop and say hello

On the corner is a banker with a motorcar
The little children laugh at him behind his back
And the banker never wears a mac
In the pouring rain...
Very strange

In Penny Lane there is a fireman with an hourglass
And in his pocket is a portrait of the Queen.
He likes to keep his fire engine clean
It's a clean machine

Behind the shelter in the middle of a roundabout
A pretty nurse is selling poppies from a tray
And though she feels as if she's in a play
She is anyway

Penny Lane the barber shaves another customer
We see the banker sitting waiting for a trim
Then the fireman rushes in
From the pouring rain...
Very strange

That was one we didn't have. I don't remember any of my friends having it, either. But, we had other Fisher-Price things like that. My favorites were the school house (of course!) and the farm. =)

I had the castle, the schoolhouse, and the barn. The castle was the best. Everyone did time in the dungeon. Even the king.

Not sure if I ever played with that. I remember Sesame Street and a plane.

We remember playing with this one for hours as a child ... I would have my little rubber Monsters attack the people who would run into the buildings and block the door with a chair before the Monsters wold break in and kill them...
ahh ... childhood memories...
Thank Joe... that one really "takes us back"... and helped to "brighten-up" our mood

Dr. T: You're welcome sir ;^)

I loved the graphics on that toy. The movie theater, the living room. Definitely worth tracking one down on Ebay.

This pic was actually taken from an ebay auction. I forgot to mark the auction so I'm not sure what it sold for. I'd feel kind of self-conscious if I played with it now
