I didn't know it, but...

... in 1973 Paul Lynde had his own tv show. Not that it surprises me, it seems everybody had their own show back then..

For the past 5 years, I kept meaning to snag a few on ebay, but somehow never gotten around to it. I'm an chronic procrastinator... as an example I've got a homemade pizza recipe I've been meaning to try for the last ten years and haven't gotten to that either... I'm that bad.

He rocked the center square

He was the center square... everyone else who took the center just didn't seem to belong there..

I remember bits and pieces of this show.
Paul played the Dad and had a hippie/surfer son and a free spirit daughter and an always cheerful wife.
He was very mean and sarcastic to his family as only Paul Lynde could be.
The show wasn't bad and today the show would it perfectly with Married with Children and similar shows.
But back then everyone was horrified by the humour. I guess it was before its time.
