Using my blog to try and make the world a better place. If I can help someone forget their troubles for a few minutes a day, it's all worth it.

I watch the ripples change their size, but never leave the stream of warm impermanent sand. So the days flow through my eyes but still the days seem the same. And these children that you spit on as they try to change their world are immune to your consultations. They're quite aware of what they're going through.

What the world needs now, is love, sweet love...

... it's the only thing that there's just too little of..

I remember this episode. My mom used to watch AITF all the time and I never got it as a kid, now when I watch it, it is just obnoxious to me. They did have some good story lines though.

They had some great lines, though. I found a bunch that I'll be posting eventually.

It was definitely edgy for its day. I think its funny to watch the episodes today and see that we now bleep out some politically incorrect words.

...wonder where we we'll end up?

I love this episode in particular, and not just because I'm a huge Sammy fan. "Sammy's Visit" also had some hilarious jokes and dialogue, almost all at Archie's expense.

Bigotry's no laughing matter, but the way Archie's ignorance got thrown back in his face by Sammy, sometimes without Archie even knowing it, was priceless. And that kiss was just the icing on the cake.

They don't write them like that anymore. Norman Lear was and is a genius.

Darryll: It was a great show, ideed.

FF: I think this was one of the funniest scenes in the history of the show.

Dandiacal: Norman ruled tv in the 70's. I don't know if he's doing anything else with television these days.
