If you watched ANY television in the 1970's, then you remember the commercials for Ronco records. Ronco would take a group of hit songs that were a couple of years old, and make a record out of it. They were always various artists, I don't think Ronco produced any records featuring just one artist. Also there were accessories like record vacuums you could buy.
