I watch the ripples change their size, but never leave the stream of warm impermanent sand. So the days flow through my eyes but still the days seem the same. And these children that you spit on as they try to change their world are immune to your consultations. They're quite aware of what they're going through.

Misc. Remembrance:

In 1974, my neighbor used to like playing Emergency. He'd put on a toy fire helmet, grab his Fisher Price medical kit, and run around the yard and "rescue" imaginary people. I'm assuming he's over that phase, but who knows...

Those guys were so handsome. I think that's required to be a Fireman or Paramedic.

My brother and I loved this show when we were kids. He had the helmet too.

All the rescue equipment was very high-tech back then. Now it's so dated.

I remember watching this show as a little girl. I had a mini-crush on the dark-haired main guy. (I think his name was Randolph Mantooth.)
