Anthony!! Anthony!!

In the '70s, Wednesday was Prince Spaghetti day. I must've seen this commercial a thousand times; it aired for a few years. To this day spaghetti is still one of my all-time favorite dinners.

Even though it's one of my faves, I can't remember the last time I had spaghetti.

I am out of it on this one... I don't know what Prince Spaghetti was/is. Is this a brand? Is it a restaurant?

This did make me remember when in school we used to get lunch menus for the month of what the cafeteria was serving. There was NOTHING better than the school's pizza. (Please - all you who are Italian - don't kill me :) )

Each of us kids got to circle what days we wanted to buy lunch - I would guess that we were probably limited to 3 or 4 a month each. Pizza day was for sure circled. and I remember that their hamburgers were pretty good, too.

...not quite the plethora of options that the kids have today... but it was good food!

I dont remember Prince Spaghetti, but as a kid in the '70s and as a teen in the '80s, I do remember Pizza Hut, Pizza Inn, Shakeys Pizza, and at the very end, Chucky Cheeze's (featuring video games and an animatronic show for kids), and, of course, in the '80s, Dominos (with the character called the noid). For awhile in the late '70s and early '80s, there was a Pizza place that featured old silent movies.

Pizza Hut, of course, is now everywhere, as is Dominos.

I still love Pizza, Spaghetti, lasgna, et.al, but unfortunately, acid reflux limits my ability to enjoy them today.

Mom makes her own spaghetti sauce but to this day she still keeps the recipe a secret...

We have spaghetti at least once a week in our house, a direct result of my mother's upbringing. We didn't have a lot of money when I was a kid, so we ate spaghetti a lot. Mom is a great cook and she always made wonderful spaghetti sauce...not bad for an Irish girl.

I don't know many who don't like spaghetti.
