The old Bounty commercials, with Nancy Walker as Rosie, set in Rosie's Diner. Of course, that was the decade of women's liberation, so it's only natural Rosie owned the diner instead of just being a waitress. I remember how she'd wet the towel and put heavy things on it to show how strong it was. And also her Bounty towels would pick up the mess that the other inferior towels would leave behind because they weren't as absorbant. I'm not sure if Nancy's still alive or not. If she is, she'd have to be, like, 100 years old by now....

I was just thinking about:

I love IMDB.COM!
Poor Nancy...
Her hair always freaked me out. Remember Madge and the manicure clients soaking in Palmolive?
Yes, and Madge was a total liar (sorry Madge. It was the script, not you). That stuff dried out my hands like crazy...
Remember the colgate commercials, where they'd dip a piece of chalk in blue liquid, then break it apart to show how Colgate penetrates tooth enamel.
My paper towels never seem to work as good as the commercials...? Hmm, Nancy should come show me what to do.
Sorry, she's dead. I'm not sure you'd want her showing up at your place these days..
I had almost forgotten about this one. I remember her passing and I remember the commercials, but I just don't seem to remember her role on Rhoda. Doubt if I got it back then anyway.
But I have one for you though. Just thought about this. Do you remember the Evel Kenevel action figures and motorcycles? They were pretty big when I was a young man. Have you done anything on Evel?
Hmmm, I'm not sure... I'm sure there's one in the archives somewhere..
Wow, thas old school right there. How about Mr. Whipple - Don't squeeze the Charmin!
That's funny, the first person I thought of was Madge also, LOL. Now I'm gonna go look for a Mercury, "At the sign of the cat!"

Kimberly: I keep meaning to post him but always forget for some reason. They did those charmin commercials for more than a decade, i think. Then all of a sudden it stopped and I didn't even notice... I remember how he always got a sort of "guilty pleasure" by squeezing when nobody was looking.. it all seems so dirty now.....
Wil: Yeah i forgot about that. But what does madge have to do with Mercury??
Nothing really, LOL. I was just thinking back to some of my other favs. I have to go now. Uni, Roy and Al just showed up.

Oh my god how the hell do you remember all this?
P.S. I have to spend like half a day just catching up on blogs. I miss you guys.
Wil: Hahaa
Miss Alex: It's so good to hear from you (c: You just made my day ;^)
