Using my blog to try and make the world a better place. If I can make someone forget their troubles for a few minutes a day, it's all worth it.

I watch the ripples change their size, but never leave the stream of warm impermanent sand. So the days flow through my eyes but still the days seem the same. And these children that you spit on as they try to change their world are immune to your consultations. They're quite aware of what they're going through.

Sing a song, sing out loud, sing out strong.

Sing a song, sing out loud, sing out strong.
Sing of good things, not bad. Sing of happy, not sad. Sing a song, make it simple to last your whole life long. Don't worry that it's not good enough for anyone else to hear, just sing a song.

I always wanted to live at a place that had a little garden with a pathway to a pond. Never happened, though. Well, maybe someday...

The 10-speed:

The 10-speed was the dominant bicycle back in the day. I didn't have a 10-speed though. I had a Huffy bike which was basically a mountain-bike with thick tires (10-speeds had very thin tires). Huffy bikes were much more fun than 10-speeds. Give me a mountain bike over a streamlined 10-speed any day.

I had a red Schwinn Sprint 10 speed. Just sold it a couple of years ago at a garage sale.

Everyone HAD to have a 10 speed back in the day. I had a red Schwinn, too. I remember the guys used to turn their handlebars around backwards trying to be cool and they would see all those different colored tapes for your handlebars.

I inherited my big brothers bike. It was stuck in third gear. It was hard going, but built up my leg muscles great!
