Allright so I sort of did a post like this a few days ago, but I had the pics and wanted to use them.

Haha yeah I think Esther is probably one of my all-time favorite tv show characters.

I loved Sanford and Son as a kid. I remember this actress being on Mike Douglas or some other talk show and doing a fire dance. She said that was how she got her start in the business.

LOVED Esther, but what about her dipsomaniac hubby, "Woodrow"?? He was henpecked beyond belief- first by Esther, then by Fred And Grady!!!

Joe,
There can never be too much Sanford & Son as far as I'm concerned.

Scott: A fire dance... hahahaha

Jayne: I don't remember Woodrow for some reason.

Hairball: I remember how Lamont was always trying to "improve the business".. like dude it's a junkyard.

Really? Woody was always getting into Fred's Applejack!

He was Esther's husband???? How come I didn't know that??

He was the guy that played a drunk in Good Times, too...
Boy, Fred hated to see those two coming....

I remember Fred's girlfriend Donna. She was a pretty gal. Too good for him, actually.

And Lamont's girlfriend, I think her name was Linda. Remember? She had the son named Tyrone, I think.

there was an episode where Lamont was getting married and at the last minute the chick got cold feet and left right before she was to say "i do". Then at the reception Lamont's relatives were taking all their wedding gifts back.... talk about adding insult to injury..

Oh, I think that was the one when Fred had dated Lamont's girlfriend before Lamont met her...But you'd figure that Lamont would know that, as he lived with Fred all those years!
I think he dated that Linda for about 2 seasons, before the show became "Sanford Arms" in 1978. I think that show only lasted 1 season, if that.

I don't know how I remember all this, honestly.

I was wrong, Joe!!! Lamont's fiancee was JANET. They broke up before the show was called "Sanford Arms". My bad!!!
