I watch the ripples change their size, but never leave the stream of warm impermanent sand. So the days flow through my eyes but still the days seem the same. And these children that you spit on as they try to change their world are immune to your consultations. They're quite aware of what they're going through.

Random:

Bewitched had one of the best openers. I loved the cartoon. And the first Darren was way better than the second one. But that's just me..

Ann: I was never a mystery fan myself. Comedy was always my fave. Well, that's okay, I still like you... ;^)

Wings: Yeah the first was way better. I think he passed away a number of years ago..

I don't know if it was the actor, the writing or both, but the first Darren was a much more well rounded character. There was this undercurrent of playfulness, that lead to me believing deep down inside he cared for Endora or at the very least he didn't really dislike her.

The scene between Darren and Endora when Tabitha was born or that episode where Endora was sick
did show some tenderness between them.

The romance between the first Darren and Sam also seemed more romantic and playful.

Lastly how the first Darren interacted with each of Sam's family members was more varied. You could tell he loved aunt Clara, sometimes found uncle Arthur funny, respected Sam's father, etc. It use to drive me crazy that the second Darren ALWAYS had that same sour puss no matter which "witch" relative he was speaking to.

Sadly, because of what we later found out was due to illness, Dick York appeared in fewer episodes until had to left the show. But I have often wondered how the show would have continued to develop had he remained.

I guess you can tell I have given this topic some thought. Bewitched was one of my favorite shows as a kid and I watch it today as it is available On Demand in my area.

I guess Dick had chronic back pain. You can almost see it in his face and in his voice that he wasn't feeling well.
Dick was also in one of those mental hygeine films when he was a teenager. I love those old films.

The animated opening sequence for Bewitched was done by Hanna-Barbera. Just thought you'd like to know.
