Tab:

I never cared for Tab. I was a Coke kid. I also remember Fresca (although I just thought of Fresca now, which is why I don't have a pic of it). The concept of diet soda was brand new, and we all thought you could lose weight just by drinking the stuff, not realizing that any sort of carbonated beverage is fattening, diet or not...

I never have had a TAB....I usually do not drink soda

Well if you never had one, you never will. They stopped making that stuff, like, years ago.
You didn't miss anything, btw. That stuff was crap.

I drank nothing but regular soda as a kid. As an adult, I have gotten into the diet soda. I have grown accustom to the taste.

I guess it is an acquired taste.
Like beer.

... although, while I've acquired a taste for beer, I haven't quite acquired the taste for diet soda..

My mom LIVED on Tab. She'd open a can, drink a bit of it while she was doing housework, forget where she put it, open another can...

...I think one of my chores as a kid was to collect all the half-empty cans and throw them out.

We were not a Fresca family. I loved visiting the neighbors across the street because they drank Fresca! We always seemed to have Cragmont or some off brand (except for Tab--mom did the shopping, so mom got the name brand).

All my mom ever bought was Ginger Ale. "If I didn't like it, I could always buy my own stuff"... like a 5 year old kid has money to go soda shopping...
Don't get me wrong, she wasn't all bad..
..not really.....

... and forget asking for Hawaiian Punch...

Are you kidding, no Hawaiian Punch? That stuff was awesome. Drank that more than soda, especially as a younger kid. Pre-made was best, but also had the juice that came in powder.

Nope. Although, i guess my parents weren't all bad.
Not really.

Warm Fresca was our comfort food for upset stomachs and flu. I STILL drink it (though not warnm), and buy it regularly. It's quite popular here in Mexico, where there are a couple of grapefruit sodas.

If I had to choose it would be fresca over tab.
that stuff was nasty..

I used to be addicted to this stuff! When I was in college I would bring a can of TAB to my first class and that was my breakfast. Haven't touched it in years, but Coke still makes it for those die hard fans who can't get their chemicals any other way!

I loved fresca, an unusual taste but good, don't remember getting to drink soda before 9 years old, but we would go over my moms friends house who drank tab and they offered us a tab, and thinking I am getting a treat quickly say yes, and I take a giant swig and have to fight a desire to spit it out, gross and gross(plus northerners have a habit of not putting sodas in the fridge, warm soda sucks no matter what)
