Okay, definitely the worst movie of 1978. Well, that and Jaws II. To this day I haven't come across anybody who thinks otherwise. I believe the bottom pic is the cast at the movie preview, when they all realized what a crappy movie they just spent months making, nailing the coffin on any future movie prospects they may have had...

Quite possibly THE worst movie of 1978:

I didn't know this was a movie. Is that Michael Jackson in the dress?
I never saw that movie and Jaws 11 is def. one of the worst
Aw, Jaws II isn't that bad.
Lynda: Hahahaa. No, Diana Ross. hah
Cheer: I couldn't agree with you more. I saw The Wiz on cable and couldn't sit through it.
Teri: Well, it wasn't the worst, but i think it was pretty bad. But that's just me...
We sang Wiz songs when I was in choir in fourth grade. "Ease on down, ease on down, the road".... sad, really.
We followed it up with Neil Diamond's "Coming to America". The part where the choir whispered "Today...Today...Today" softer and softer till the lights went out was breathtakingly cheezy.
"Ease on Down the Road" ... I can still hear them singing that song. I think I watched it in the theater and on cable. In Philly we had a channel called PRISM, it had movies and then some of the professional team sporting events (and also professional wrestling).
I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid. I thought it was bad back then. I'm sure I still would. It was terrible.
Gilligan: Well, don't feel too bad. In fourth grade I had to sing "I'm a Yankee Doodle Dandy"... please don't tell anyone. If anyone ever found out I'd never live it down..
Cool Dad: Maybe it was good as a play, but as a movie it sucked.
Keith: Is there anyone who liked this movie???
I liked the movie! But then, I also liked Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, so what the hell do I know.
Hey, if that's your "thing", that's fine with me...
... after all, dressed in this tragically ugly pantsuit, I'm no one to call anybody uncool. I mean, obviously..
The fake OZ previews looked so bad I never did see it. Jaws II wasn't too good.
The best movies of the 70s were M*A*S*H, Serpico and the Godfather.
And to think there were people that actually paid to see it...
